The Dirt

Please join us on Saturday, September 21st for an gathering at a beautiful private residence near Carkeek Park with views of the Sound. It will be an afternoon of celebration, storytelling, and toasting to the future.

Whet your palate on garden inspired hors-d'oeuvres and libations. Your continued encouragement helps shine a light into the devastating effects malnutrition has on those living with HIV and other vulnerable groups in Sub Saharan Africa.

Transport yourself to one of our Uganda communities through our new 360 film, “Growing New Roots."

What are we raising funds for?

DIG is improving the nutrition and livelihoods of the world’s ultra-vulnerable by teaching them to plant sustainable gardens that grow health, wealth, and a sense of belonging.

Last year, the Seattle community came together to support DIG's effort, planting gardens with the Batwa of Southern Uganda. Today those gardens have taken root and their communities are beginning to thrive as we expand our programs there.

Help us continue to prioritize the poorest of the poor, the disabled, the elderly, people living with HIV, the chronically malnourished, and refugees as we develop successful programs that have a deep impact and are replicable with Batwa and disability communities in rural western Uganda.
