Military Hospital Ouagadougou

The Department of Defense HIV/AIDS Prevention Program (DHAPP) awarded DIG a grant to improve the nutritional status of military families and their communities affected by HIV at the main Military Hospital in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. DIG in partnership with DHAPP and the Armed Forces of Burkina Faso (AFBF) is currently working with an amazing support group called AMES to establish a demonstration site at the hospital grounds.

Since the beginning of 2013, DHAPP, AFBF, DIG and AMES, have been working towards improving the nutritional well-being, economic well-being and food security of people living with HIV in the area through increased food production, sustainable agriculture trainings, nutrition and cooking demonstrations and, home garden support.
